Lefkada may be renowned for its beaches, but there is plenty more to also enjoy during your holiday on the island. No matter how many days you choose to spend on Lefkada, they will not be enough to experience all that the island has to offer. So make sure to plan ahead and gather all the information you needbefore choosing activities best-suited to your interests. Of course, we are here to help you organise your schedule by proposing the finest of alternatives.

Consider kitesurfing and windsurfing. Both the island’s south and north are ideal areas for watersport enthusiasts. Vasiliki, in the south, and Agios Ioannis, in the north, are two of the world’s best spots for watersport activities. Training centres are run at both locations.

Go sailing in the Ionian Sea and explore its countless islets and well-hidden beaches.

Explore the rich diversity of the underwater world. A diving school in Nikiana is run by experienced instructors who offer guidance with all safety measures intact.

Go on a one-day cruise to the surrounding islets and enjoy the idyllic views of the wider region’s magical settings.

A morning hike through the unique natural beauty offered by Mount Skaroi, close to our resort, will reinvigorate you. This area is one of the most beautiful parts of the inland and features rare flora. The hilltop, at the end of the route, will reward you with a magnificent view of Lefkada’s surrounding islets.

Cycling enthusiasts may go mountain biking. Being a mountainous island, Lefkada offers tracks running through forests and breathtaking views.

A horse riding centre, catering to beginners and advanced horse riders of all ages, is situated a short distance from the main town. A seaside horse ride during the afternoon hours promises a special, unforgettable experience.

For more adventurous visitors, we recommend paragliding, the landing zone for flights being at the uniquely beautiful Kathisma beach.

Watersport activities suitable for all ages are available close to Nikiana, atNydri and Lygia, as well as Vasiliki, at the island’s southern edge.

Less sports-minded visitors may simply enjoy fishing alongside locals at small harbours or take in superb sunset experiences all along the western side of the island.

Wine lovers have come to the right place as many of Lefkada’s wineries are open to visitors.

For physical and mental wellness, yoga, pilates and massage sessions are available on the island.

Lefkada offers organised learning schools for all alternative recreational activities. So choose what you like best and leave the rest to the experts.
